Ther are a couple reasons why this is directed at men.

1. I’m a man. Sometimes we need to focus on cleaning our own backyard.
2. Due to power structures that I’m sure you are aware of the mistakes we make in regard to harassment and worse are far more prevalent and not very well addressed.

And for the record, “They can be bad too”, is a self-serving and weak copout. Woody Allen doesn’t excuse R. Kelly. Whatever womanly analog you want to throw out doesn’t excuse how men behave.
